Aveces cuando se nos daña el grub, es importante saber la versión de este para poder arreglarlo, esto se hace de la siguiente forma:
Por el nombre.
/boot/grub/menu.lst (grub)
/boot/grub/grub.cfg (grub2)
Otra forma es mediante comandos, tipiamos
grub --version
